In this society we are suppose to be protected by the police and be made to feel safe, however sometimes this just isn’t the case as I’ve come to learn. Continuously I feel let down and perhaps even victimized by them, if I’m treated like a criminal should I start and act like one? This is the question that crosses my mind. Why try and be a good person and help others out when it simply boils down to the fact that we’re little people and to a jobs-worth they are happy to walk all over us.

In 2005 I reported some content I’d come across on the internet, it both disturbed and disgusted me so I reported it to the police. I was later visited by two police officers who confiscated my laptop and took me to the police station to interview me under caution.

Hold on here!!! I’m trying to help them rid this world of smutty illegal and sickening content and I’m being criminalized for it!!! I really just couldn’t believe what was happening, I was trying to do the right thing and as a result I get cautioned and I lose my laptop.

I was told they would check my laptop out and then once cleared I would get it back, well its now 2010, 5 years later and still no laptop. The laptop is currently worth nothing as its so old and as such I’ve lost money as it was worth about £1,500 back then I believe.

I complained in around 2007 or 2008 and was told that someone would get back to me but it might take some time.

In between these times I simply forgot about it and carried on with life whilst my laptop continued to depreciate in value.

so now, 5 years later and still nothing. How is this acceptable by any standard?

Isn’t theft depriving someone of their rightful property?

This is the first of two complaints this week to the IPCC.

Is this a lesson to all, don’t trust the police? They say report things in confidence, I no longer have any confidence in their abilities.

Just got back from Rotherham to find our free news paper just slung on the drive in our garden and so I thought I’d write the company a letter, I found it rather amusing so thought I’d share. lol

This weeks news paper was delivered to my front garden which could be construed as a form of littering, considering the paper could have blown all over my garden and into the streets. I’m sure the snails and other garden habitants would love a read though but I don’t believe this is the target audience of your paper.

I assume that your paper boy/girl is not trained in the art using a letterbox and would therefore suggest an intense training course to help progress their skills, I’m sure they will welcome this in later life when they come to use other equipment in their chosen profession as it may lead onto them developing their own intuition especially when it comes to problem solving such as fitting newspapers through a set size letterbox and not simply slinging it on the floor in someone’s garden.

I jest of course but I would appreciate it if your delivery person posts the actual paper and not just leave it in the garden.

Kindest Regards,
Timothy Bowers.

I did want to comment on a career in some fast food place, but thought that I should typecast.

Well if we’re not screwed by one we are by the other, we have Gordon Brown and you know some times I admire him but the majority of the time I think he’s just lying pratt that should just move on in life, he’s no better than Blair. I had to laugh when suddenly Brown whom was a rather hidden man with his personal life suddenly appears on Piers Morgan and not to much before the general election starts, publicity stunt or what.

You know that what ever Brown says, he really has something to say off camera, a hidden agenda me thinks! Just look at his behaviour when he thought he was away form the cameras and called a woman a bigot, I really wanted him to let rip in that car whilst people were listening. But all that said, it really just shows him as being human albeit a little two faced.

I have to consider what Labour has done to us, Poor NHS funding and inadequate doctors resulted in my fathers death, my uncles death, my aunts death.

Treated my mother like a criminal for their mistake, she’s an OAP for Christ sakes.

Can’t even get their bin men in order but still charge my mother an incredible amount of council tax.

I needed help from their job centre, but instead got sod all but I’m sure if I’d come from another country I could have had help. All those years of them money grabbing

DVLA threatening legal action for a vehicle which I’d had sorn with them and later informed them was written off which my insurance company also notified them of. They harassed me for months despite me telling them the numerous times again.

The list could go on, but for now this will do

We’ve then got the used car salesman, David Cameron. Honestly I think I’d struggle to buy a car from him he just gives off these vibes that he’s after a good commission this month.

BNP, well you know I was considering having a look at what they stand for and today we got a leaflet through the door so I had a quick read. The way I read it is they want to rip our troops out of other countries which could be a devastation not just for use for those countries we’ve gone into but also for ourselves. We need to fix the problems we’ve helped create there and we still need to fight terrorism, if we just pick up and leave places like Afghanistan then we might as well throw them back into chaos and give them some weapons to come get us with afterwards.

The bombings we’ve endured in this country hurt people who didn’t choose to fight in this war, it killed people who were just living their life and if we continued to do nothing they would still continue to come at us. The world is our oyster and we live in it so we have a duty to care for it and not just ourselves because if don’t then when all hell breaks loose we will then be dragged in to it.

BNP also don’t believe in climate change, well regardless of their belief the things we do which scientist claim contribute to climate change are still ruining our world and how we live. Coal, Gas and oil won’t last for ever, landfill sites will still be a mess and will still give of methane. The gases thrown into the Earth’s air will still be poisonous and waste from nuclear power plants still can’t be disposed of easily.

And the other parties……… Well if I’m honest I don’t really understand what they are proposing or what they stand for but I guess I should give them some consideration.

OK after careful consideration I think we should line them all up, blindfold some voters, maybe all of them and give them a paint ball gun who ever gets hit the fewest is in. lol

Maybe not?

Well XOOPS has most certainly had a rough ride over the years but never in its history has its users been lied to so much as it has since the departure of some key players just a few years ago.

They persecuted someone who’s intentions were to raise the profile of XOOPS to give it a better foundation and promote the project which he did successfully.

Then came along new leadership which I sadly had involvement in helping create. James proposed the current leader (at the time of publication) to Skalpa who was then the lead developer, he agreed and so the transition begun, however after a short period of time you could see management changing into a dictatorship from the new project leader, the project had been here before and it didn’t work it suppressed everything XOOPS stood for. We questioned this and were ignored, then treated like crap and lied to, our words to the community were edited and twisted to make us look bad, to make it appear like we were being aggressive and attacking the project and trying to bring it down.

Mamba was the key player in trying to destroy the public profile of once dedicated XOOPS members who gave much time and in some cases money. His attitude was downright wrong, rude and abusive he made it his sole purpose to hide the real truth from the XOOPS community and then he tried to pursue with a legal case against Herko Coomans and now the court has thrown out their case Mamba is considering an appeal claiming the Dutch courts:

“This case will be definitely a warning to other Open Source projects to avoid the Dutch “Stichting” legal form, and about the Dutch court system that obviously doesn’t understand the Open Source project idea.”

That almost seems a jibe at the Dutch legal system.

Mama AKA Michael Beck has shown a clear disrespect to many people and masked this from the XOOPS community, its not their fault they believe his lies, he did after all edit many posts to suit his own agenda.

I hope now that Herko will consider counter suing them for damages, these were all personal agenda’s and as such I think the whole board could be liable for damages and deformation of character.

Imagine all the communities money Mamba has blown on his personal crusade to try and ruin good people, personally I’m surprised he still has a position in XOOPS……..

Here is a few words from a friend of mine, Marcan:

Quote:

In case you have not heard already, Herko won the lawsuit against him (well in fact, they lost, he did not win anything ). This puts an end to years of conflicts, defamation and personal harassment. Herko did not deserved any of this. After years of dedication to the XOOPS project, this is how the project thanked him. Absolutely unbelievable. Open source should be better then this…

Anyway, you can read more about it here:

http://www.xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=5341
http://community.impresscms.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&type=&topic_id=4250&forum=12

Now that the news is out I would like to make a very special request to all of you: show your support! In the last years, Herko did all this by himself. He was alone, fighting 1 or 2 people who managed to turn an entire community against him. The community only knows what it had been told. Nothing else. No one really jumped in the arena to defend Herko, probably fearing the 1 or 2 people at the head of the XOOPS community who were being totally unreasonable. But now, they lost, it’s clearly stated publicly. They say they are thinking of an appeal, but that would be ridiculous.

The lawsuit dilapidated all the money of the XOOPS Foundation in the Netherlands (14 000 euros) + more then 1 500 euros of Herko’s money himself. And it’s not hard to make the connection that it probably cost the same thing for the other part. So in conclusion: the XOOPS project dilapidated more then 28 000 euros (37 000 USD) to sue the man who got XOOPS from a few thousand users to more then 50 000 users, the guy who created a Foundation to help XOOPS, the guy who successfully created more then 40 000 euros of assets for the XOOPS community, the guy who managed to register the XOOPS trademark in dozens of countries. The guy who did it all for the greater good of XOOPS. This guy was sued, dragged in the mud, publicly humiliated, his bank accounts were frozen, he got treated like a criminal. And all this for what ? For nothing. Think about all the shit he had to cope with in the last few years!

I hope this will be the end of Mamba’s persistence to try and ruin good people, and possibly the end of his attitude that if you work and contribute to another project that your not allowed to do the same with XOOPS.

Here is his words to Incama, a man who has dedicated a hell of a lot of time over many years just because he had love for the XOOPS project:

Quote:

You left XOOPS, you contribute to a competing project, so please move on…

He said this in recent comments on the XOOPS news article stated above:

XOOPS Loses Legal Battle

That how he treats good people!

A lesson learned……

A number of years ago myself and a few friends did the who coke and Mentos thing which I’m sure most of you are aware of by now however if not, then allow me to explain. Basically when you add the sweets Mentos to diet coke it causes an subtle explosion from pressure in the bottle. I suppose a video would better explain:

http://eepybird.com/dcm1.html

Now the reason I’m blogging about this now is that just last night I came across a little contraption which was close in design to that which my friends and I discussed about all those many years ago, we even dabbled with the idea of making such a thing but never took it any further. It amused me and reminded me of days gone by, so I thought I’d share.

My blog also sends this article out to Facebook, I’m not sure it will include the image as I’m never tried before, if not then please click this link to see the original article and image: Auroral.co.uk

The last 5 years have been rather dark and it seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel for the suffering our family endures and faces ahead.

28th June 2009 my Uncle, Arther Webb, husband to Margaret Webb, father to Steven Webb, Tony Webb, Ronnie Webb, Andrew Webb, Linda and grandfather to many has passed away.

In my previous blog to this, I also mentioned that my Aunty Margaret (Webb) was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

How can one have faith when life keeps dealing these blows.

When you start to think this world may just have a little decency in it, when MP’s are thrown out for thieving from the public and this country starts to save some money when the government was saying we need to pay higher taxes to line their pockets, you then realise there is more to life than that what those blood sucking leaches are trying to steal.

I suppose in that paragraph I was talking metaphorically by indirectly implying that MP’s and our government are the cancer of Briton eating away at our every day lives…………………………

This week we have been given another blow to our family, in 2005 I lost my father to cancer, a year later his brother, my uncle and this weekend we learnt the shocking news that my Aunty Margaret has terminal cancer of the stomach. Currently my mother, her sister is on vacation in Spain and as a family we elected not to ruin her holiday by telling her, but this is killing me in side every time she calls I just want to tell her, even as an adult I just want to hug her and have her tell me everything will be OK, I realise this is the selfish child in me wanting to know there are no wrongs in this world when in fact that’s far from the truth. I still miss those cuddles with my father, he remained strong through out the battle against cancer, he was my rock and my inspiration and in life I aspire to be more like him although by my own admission I always fall short.

Cancer is horrible it slowly eats away at you, my father had lung cancer which slowly deprived him of oxygen, he went from being a big strong man into bone, he lost so much weight and now I can see this again in my Aunt and it’s heartbreaking. When people ask why I no longer have faith in any religion then this is my answer, how can I have faith something which is killing the people I love when we do nothing wrong.

Now back onto the government part and for a reason, my father was miss diagnosed, he had a reacurring chest infections which his GP just kept suppressing with antibiotics and never sent him for a scan, it took a bout of pneumonia to get the scans needed to find the two tumours in his left and right lung. Later he was given a prescription from a GP which he went and handed into his usual pharmacist, the pharmacist realised instantly that if he had taken this medication it would have reacted with his other medication and killed him instantly. Now if he had not used the usual pharmacist then the pharmacist would not have known my fathers normal medication and would have happily given it him.

Now for the last few months they’ve been treating my Aunt for gallstones when it turns out it was actually cancer, she had complained to GP for a while before that about stomach issues (pains, cramps, etc) but again nothing was ever done and now because of the misdiagnosis and inactions of some over paid idiots my Aunt and our family have to suffer yet again!

In this day and age when the NHS says “We need more funds, we simply don’t have enough money to function correctly” and the government says “We need more funds, we’re not stealing enough money”, it makes you wonder at what price we, the public have to pay to get a competent level of service for what we pay for, huh even the bin men can’t do their jobs properly (we had a rat jump out of our bin the other day)…….

Either way you look at this, the government, the local GP’s and the NHS are killing our family………………………..

I was going to end on that comment, but felt it wrong because not all the NHS is failing, I have had good experiences albeit not that many.

The government are like the Sheriffs of Nottingham, rob from the poor to pay the rich. Could one of the other parties like UKIP be our Robin Hood, or are they all filthy, robbing, scum?

I was driving into town today to pick Helen up from work along with my mother and aunt Margaret (Bingo players ) I noticed on a side road (open view and wide road) was a vehicle that had a flat tyre and a young lady in her possible 50′s, I thought to myself it was still light and she was most likely waiting for the AA or something.

On my return it was starting to get dark and she was still there, so I decided I’d drop my mother and aunt off first and then come back after all it was only 5 minutes or so away.

Now this is not the first time I’ve done this sort of thing, the other month a chap out side was struggling to get his car going so I went out then drove him to petrol station to get a fuel canister filled up and then back, a few months prior to that I pulled over on a country lane to offer assistance to another driver with a flat tyre. It’s just the sort of thing I do because I’d like to think if one of my family or I ever needed help then someone would offer it.

Anyway, so Helen and I returned back to where the car was and the lady was sat in, I walked up to the window and offered my help to change her tyre, well it seemed she’d managed to get hold of her son and he was on his way I insisted I could help if she wanted but she said no and thanked me. She also stated that I was the second person to stop and offer help.

So two people in total stopped to offer help, lets do a little math here.

Busy road, perhaps 100 cars going on 1 side ever 5 minutes, I was gone maybe an hour so that’s approx 1200 cars on one side of the road which never even thought a stranded driver might need help, perhaps they never saw the flat or the fact that the car was parked at an obscure angle as if it had turned around to park in the middle of the road pretty much on the exit of a road junction.

* These numbers are rough, there could have been a lot more. It was probably something more like 1 every second or 2 so 60 a minute is 3600 an hour.

This just seems to tie in with the whole Woolworth’s post I made, people are only bothered about themselves and what they can get out of everything. Now just imagine if that was your aunt, gran, mother, sister, daughter, son, brother, father, grandfather or uncle, wouldn’t you want someone to help them?

Well the community support people have been round, they looked at the photo’s and seem to think it’s perfectly fine to leave the handles right into the hedge even knowing that the wife and I might be away occasionally leaving my 72 year old mother to struggle with the wheely bin alone, there reply was “Can’t you ask one of your neighbours to help her”, we barely even speak to our neighbours most of time, everyone is always busy with their own life’s. My mothers not eligible to have the bin taken out and brought back in because the wife and I live here also.

Disgusting if you ask me!

They made the excuse of “that’s how the bin comes off the truck” so they can just toss it over to one side.

That’s OK though because next week I’ll be doing the exact same thing, only difference is the bin will be heavier due to the rubbish being in it and I’ll continue to do this for a long time to come, oh joy, what fun!
