Namco – Point Blank On Wii

After playing with my Wii for over a week now, I got excited at the prospect of Namco bringing an old classic out for the Wii, I’m sure you all remember Point Blank, I know it was available on the Playstation a few years ago, and it’s seemed to be a smash hit in the arcades also.

It’s like the Wii was made for Point Blank as well, what better system could it ever be paired too I ask?

Well I contacted Namco direct and it seems they have no plans to release this titled on the Nintendo Wii, this is a great shame, I just hope there is someone else who makes a game to fill it’s shoes. Reading their reply though, it doesn’t categorically state no, it just says they have no information for that title, perhaps they have no public information yet? (yeah I know, I’m dreaming).

Come on Guys the Wii is made for this sort of game.

Here is Namco’s reply:

Thank you for contacting Namco Bandai’s Customer Support Department.

Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding this title. For more information on upcoming titles and release dates please visit the Namco Bandai Games website at www.namcobandaigames.com

Please feel free to contact us again in the future as the need arises.

I have Wii’d

Finally I can play with my own Wii, I’ve waited so long for this, I just haven’t Wii – ing since Sunday.

I’m very impressed with it too, this is the first Nintendo console I’ve owned since the SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System), in fact I still have the original NES and SNES some where in the loft.

My arm is aching though playing the Wii Sports, I don’t think it’s seen so much action in a while.

With the Wii we also bought Mario Kart, I just couldn’t put it down, the last time I play Mario Kart (original version) was so many years ago, in fact that was possibly one of the last computer games my father bought me and we both played together on.

Thanks Nintendo for the excellent game play, getting me off my arse to do some excercise and most of all the vivid memories of old school games and playing with my father.

Right I’m off to Wii now.
